Lángos
Lángos in Budapest
One Hungarian dish you have to try at least once!
Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and best of all fresh from the fryer. Lángos is one of Hungary's most famous street foods, traditionally eaten with garlic, sour cream and cheese. At Drum Café you'll find the classic version — but here, lángos has gone a good deal further than that.
What is lángos?
Lángos is a yeast dough, deep-fried fresh in oil. One of its most classic versions comes with garlic, sour cream and grated cheese, but these days you'll find it with all kinds of toppings.
In Hungary it's as much a part of summer — at lakeside beaches, markets and food stalls — as it is of Budapest's street food scene.
Classic Lángos
If it's your first time, start with the classic. Freshly fried lángos with the traditional toppings — simple, filling and very Hungarian.
Our lángos doesn't stop at cheese and sour cream
In the Drum Café kitchen, we like to rethink the Hungarian classics now and then. That's how our own lángos specialities came to be.
Black Lángos
One of Drum Café's own creations — and a legally protected speciality.
Lángos Burger
Where the hamburger meets Hungarian lángos — another of our own inventions.
Lángos Lasagne
Hungarian and Italian flavours in a rather unusual pairing.
Beef Stew Lángos
Two Hungarian favourites on one plate.
Vegetarian Lángos
A meat-free version is on the menu too.
